It has been revealed that EXO member Chanyeol will soon be making his big screen debut!
According to CJ Entertainment on August 19, Chanyeol has confirmed his casting for director Kang Je Gyu’s new production titled “Jang-Soo Store” (working title). The EXO member will be acting alongside actors Park Geun Hyung, Yoon Yeo Jung, Han Ji Min,Jo Jin Woong, Hwang Woo Seul Hye, Moon Ga Young, and more.
Within in the storyline, Chanyeol will be taking on the role of Min Sung—the boyfriend of the Jang-Soo Store owner’s daughter (played by Moon Ga Young)—for his first-ever big screen appearance.
The EXO member has been gaining recognition as a “variety-idol” after appearing on various shows including SBS’ “Law of the Jungle,” as well as “Roommate,” and this time, he will be trying his hand at acting.
This upcoming movie will be director Kang Je Gyu’s first attempt at a family movie, as he is known for other genres of film such as “Taegukgi,” “Shiri,” and “The Gingko Bed.”
